The Benefits of Product Reviews and Website Reviews

Posted by admin
April 4th, 2009

Gen Wright asked:

ay and age, the consumer is king. Perhaps you have heard that phrase somewhere before. It’s probably published by every major business magazine in every country. Everyone knows that because the Internet brings with it transparency, consumer gets to have the final say. Let’s see how a buying decision typical unfolds.

Traditionally, before the age of the Internet, making a purchase means sourcing for quotations or calling up a company to inquire about the price of a certain product. The point is, there must be information about the price before any decision can be finalized. However, researching for prices can be a very time consuming process. To save time, some people don’t even bother asking for multiple quotations. Others just ask for 2 or 3 quotations, and they make a purchase.

There is nothing wrong with this approach except that you could be missing out on the best pricing. Consumers eventually find out where the best deal is, but it’s too late as they had already made the purchase. The Internet helps to prevent this scenario from being played out again and again.

Today, you can log on to the Internet and bring up a product review site in your web browser. If this is the first time you’ve heard about review sites, go and do a quick search on the search engines and you will find a plethora of such sites. The primary goal of a review site is simple - to provide you with the information you need to come to an informed buying decision.

Price comparison is just one feature you can expect to find. You can also find information on feature comparison. Detailed reviews will put one product beside another and drill down on the pros and cons. You can see, quite clearly, on an unbiased review, which product you should or should not buy. Bookmark these sites because you may need to refer to them again at a later date.

Website reviews are not the same as product reviews. But you can also use them to your advantage. The Internet is simply flooded with websites, and as consumers, we sometimes need a little help in finding the information that we need. For example, not all sites sell stuff. Some provide purely content, while others are community sites.

Reviews allow web visitors to quickly determine the overall theme of a website. From these pages, one can easily tell the type of content available on the site. Content can fall into several different classes such as news, videos, critics, etc. A website review is also considered a special type of content.

When you combine product reviews and site reviews together, you get a whole lot of useful information. You can compare prices on a product based site, and then proceed to content based sites to read more about what others have to say about the product that you are interested in buying.

You will be glad that these sites existed because now, you don’t have to worry about paying excess for a second best product or service.

Nikki Q asked:

Would you like to earn extra cash for reviewing products you normally use? Below are a few online companies that pay for reviews. The article also includes other ways to make money reviewing products or services.

ReviewStream.com pays $1.50 per review accepted. If the review does not meet their criteria, you can choose to earn the bulk rate or the regular rate divided by 5. They accept reviews on anything including airlines, electronics, hotels, and websites. Reviews accepted by ReviewStream may not be published elsewhere. You also earn money if readers vote for your review. The minimum payout is $50.

ReviewParty.com is review site where you can earn money from Amazon or Adsense (Google Ads). You earn commission if readers purchase the product you reviewed through Amazon. You also earn revenue if people click on the Adsense ads on the page of your reviews.

SoftwareJudge.com pays you to review the software found on their site. They pay up to $50 depending on how great the review is. The minimum amount you can earn per review is $1. The reviews must be original and don’t have to be positive. The best contributors receive free stuff. The minimum payout is $200.

AllReaders.com and AllWatchers.com pay up to $5 for book and movie reviews. They pay 5 cents if someone has already reviewed the book or movie, $1 - $2 if the review is somewhat detailed, and $5 if the review is really detailed. AllReaders.com currently doesn’t accept reviews of horror stories, short stories, children’s books, e-books, books without a central plot, or books under 200 pages in length. AllWatchers.com currently doesn’t accept reviews of horror movies, Indian films, remakes of the same name, or straight to TV movies. Apple Stores: The Truth Behind The Apple Logic Board Issue

Posted by admin
March 21st, 2009

Apple Logic Board Repair Reviewed asked:

Who pays for the lavish locations the apple store provides? The consumer, that is who! We have started a campaign to shed some light on why apple computer repairs are so expensive!

We are a family run apple service center. We were attacked by apple, because of the current issues with their computers. The logic boards have an inherent defect. We saw many school kids, upset because their laptop was malfunctioning. Apple accused us of lying and said there was a software not a hardware issue.

Since we were correct, we went out and spent $100,000.00 on the proper equipment to do logic board repairs. Like clockwork we get sent apple computers to fix that the apple stores has said needed a refurbished g5 apple logic board!

We fix these for 250 dollars FLAT RATE and include insurance on the return shipping. Last I checked it was at least $600.00 JUST FOR THE REFURBISHED APPLE MOTHER BOARD! How can we provide this price point and superior service and turn around?

Honestly, because we care about your computer and your budget. Apple, well just like any large corporation, only cares about the stock holders bottom line. That is profits. We do not have stock holders to please!

I know you are not happy with the price quoted by the apple stores to you! I would not be either. There is no worries though because I am here to help alleviate the stress of handing apple about $1000.00 to get that perfectly fine computer you have fixed.

We don’t want the apple stores to pressure you into buying a new computer. We want you to save hundreds on the apple store price! When you add to that, the fact we are usually 3 times as fast as the apple stores turn around. Well the bargain is very clear to see. That is, for those who are looking for one!

I hope I have helped you make a proper choice here. Our tech has over 20 years of experience working with apple computers and doing repairs on apple products. He was certified in the late 1980’s! You really need to put that experience to work for you.

Leverage that experience to save TIME and Money! We really understand that you have a budget and we average a 99% fix it rate. It is actually more than 99% but we don’t like to exaggerate! If we cannot fix it within the 250.00 flat rate, We will ship it back at no cost.

That has yet to happen… If given some time, we can find a used board and actually replace the faulty g5 imac logic board in the machine! What we currently offer for 250.00 is an actual refurbishment of the board in your machine. A service the apple stores cannot provide for you.

We look forward to helping save you money soon! I hope this has been educational for you! Click the links below for our website.

Car Aution Websites Reviewed - a List of the Top Three Car Auction Websites

Posted by admin
March 14th, 2009

The Internet Car Guy asked:

Before I get too much into the nitty gritty of my car auction website reviews, I want you to understand that all three of the car auction websites I have listed here are excellent and I highly recommend them all. These are definitely the three top car auction websites in my opinion. Listed in no particular order:

Gov-Auctions.Org

This is a great car auction website. This website has a ton of auctions that they pull their inventory from. The types of auctions represented here are local and national government agencies. This site is a very good one to start with. You definitely can’t go wrong with this site. They also give you a lot of free bonuses with your membership, so definitely check this one out.

SeizeCars.Com

Another great car auction website. I actually like the look and feel of this website better than the first one I mentioned. Again, this website pulls from a bunch of auctions. They also offer a bonus of foreclosure information if that is something you want to get into, so this site is also definitely worth a look.

AmericanCarBargains.Com

Buy cars cheap is the montra of this car auction website, and you can definitely get cheap cars here. Another can’t miss car auction website with a very easy to navigate and use website. This may be the easiest website of the three to use and is definitely worth checking out.

Again, these are not all the car auction websites out there, but these are three of the best and easiest websites I have found. I hope you will also find these beneficial to you.

Bans Review – Build a Niche Store Review

Posted by admin
March 6th, 2009

Ricky Lim asked:

So What Is BANS?

BANS stands for build a niche store and is a software script that allows you to make money off ebay as an ebay affiliate.

It has certainly been one of my favourite tools to build niche web stores online. The reason being it is very easy to use and you never have to worry about content on your website since it pulls feeds from ebay auctions constantly. That means you also don’t need to worry about contantly updating new content for your website.

Ebay recently transitioned to their own in house affiliate program and BANS has made the necessary code adjustments. Since ebay sells just about anything under the sun from baby strollers to cars and motorcycles, you can build almost unlimited niches with your websites.

Since everyone online knows about ebay and knows there are cheap items for sell on ebay, it is very sell for buyers to click through on your ebay auction listings and buy on ebay.

There is a 30 day tracking cookie for ebay so visitors you refer can often return days later and buy something off ebay and you still get the commission. Another weird thing I noticed with the ebay affiliate program is that visitors you refer to ebay may not necessarily buy what you are recommending.

For example, if you refer visitors from your baby strollers BANS site to ebay, I noticed some visitors actually purchased other unrelated stuff such as laptops, an air purifier etc. I think it is ok though since I get commission on those purchases as well.

If the visitor you referred from your BANS website is new to ebay, you can also get paid if he/she sign up as a new user and bids on an item. The amount will depend on the ebay quality score, a new rule set by ebay.

There are a variety of templates to choose from in BANS and there is also an active members forums where you can ask questions and even get others to help you for a fee. It isn’t terribly difficult to setup BANS since the layout, content and navigation are point and click.

If you have an existing content website, then BANS can be a complement to your website. You can attach a BANS store to your website and recommend items to your visitors.

It’s a win win situation since your visitors can find cheap deals on ebay and you earn commission as well.

BANS provides another form of monetization for your website other than Google adsense and I have to say it pays better as well.

Website Reviews: How to Write Compelling Website Reviews That Sell

Posted by admin
February 2nd, 2009

Jeremy Gislason asked:

Writing website reviews is an art form. Reviews should entice people to buy a product, but not force or hard sell them. Internet users are becoming much more savvy to even the most subtle of marketing messages.

Soft Selling vs Hard Selling

Some marketers still use the hard selling approach. That is, being a total sales person and using classic sales techniques to sell. Infomercials on TV can be thought of as an example of hard selling. They virtually shout at you to buy their product.

Soft selling is much more subtle, toned down and much less direct, but can often be much more powerful. Instead of blatantly selling a product to your visitors, inform them about the features, qualities and benefits of the product. Website readers should tell the readers how the product can improve their life.

But aside from mentioning the advantages, you should also point out any minor flaw of the product. This will increase the reader’s trust on you and will make them believe you more when you tell them the good sides.

When you counter the flaws with the positives, it’s best if you relate the advantages with the disadvantages. For example, you could say, “This product costs a little more, but the big savings you’ll incur every month will more than offset that little additional payment.”

Making people feel as if they are missing out on something great by not buying a product is one of the best ways to convert a sale when writing website reviews.

2 Types of Products to Review

There are generally two types of products you can review on your site:

1) Your Own Product

Selling your own product by offering a website review can be the toughest strategy to undertake. You may have set up an exterior second site to send people to your main site.

This second site can be a review type site that touts the benefits of your product. You will have a huge advantage over other people who review your product, as you know all about the product so can provide inside information.

Many webmasters write website reviews without even buying the product - something that puts them in a less desirable position when it comes to creating unique and informative content that entices people to buy.

2) Someone Else’s Product

Reviewing someone else’s product is what most people do online. This is an effective affiliate marketing strategy and requires some research to undertake.

Ideally, you should buy the product before reviewing it, particularly if it is an information product like an e-book or video series.

That way you will have a total understanding of the particular product and will be in a better position to promote it using website reviews… without just rehashing the seller’s sales page points.

Persuasion

One of the best persuasion tactics is simply to show what other customers are saying about a product. Nothing sells better than social acceptance; and if your product is widely accepted by people, then you are going to have an easier time converting buyers.

Point visitors to real customer testimonials and reviews, and show them statistics about how many units have been sold.

People feel reassured knowing that other people have made a decision to buy a product and are happy with it. When it comes down to it, most people simply follow in the footsteps of others; so if they see other people enjoying the benefits of a product, then they are likely to buy. You are simply stepping in the middle and connecting prospective buyers with existing buyers.

Writing great website reviews is easy once you understand what makes your potential customers tick.

Singapore Electronic Store Reviews

Posted by admin
February 2nd, 2009

Ethan Ong asked:

The world today is engineered in a way that most of us need a laptop or a desktop to survive and maintain relevant. Not having one means looking at the world pass you by; and you’re left wondering what happened. Its the information age and thankfully Singapore has kept abreast of such technological milestones and seems to have its fingers firmly on the pulse. Whether for business or entertainment, education or just plain informational value, there are many electronic stores out on the market for you to visit to fulfil your needs.

Stores like Harvey Normal, Courts have dedicated computer and electronic sections that have a whole host of brands and models. From laptop computers to desktop gadgets, there is always something for everyone and the price ranges will fit almost any budget. The best thing about these electronic stores is the very fact that they have an instalment policy with reasonable interest rates - or f you have a credit card, you will enjoy either a 1 -2 year instalment plan that is risk and interest free. You might get flooded by a sea of information here but they are neatly displayed with their perks and features emboldened by both text and a smiling, and ever waiting sales staff - ready to speak to you and fill you in on the details left out.

If you prefer the more colloquial and no frills shopping experience, I would recommend taking a quick trip down to Sim Lim Square and be amazed at the 6 floors of Singapore electronic stores which sell laptop computers, desktop computers and a whole host of electronic paraphernalia from cameras, digital video recording devices, mp3 players, latest computer tech and even cables and pins from a thousand different models. It can be quite daunting as you might notice that once store seems suspiciously identical to the other but that is the charm of such a place. Sellers are bold and usually get to the point, with bargaining not being out of the question if you know your way around the market place. This place is usually extremely crowded, even in the early mornings of a week day so time yourself right. You should go in knowing what you want to buy and what your budget is, or you will be easily distracted by shiny things you don’t need that seem to end up in your credit card bill.

If you like your air conditioning soundless and your service staff in matching uniforms, then head down to Funan IT mall, where the crown prince, Challenger, sits atop the last floor in all its computer and gadgetry grandeur. This is a refined version of Sim Lim, with fancy holding areas and well labelled enclosures with dizzying displays. Prices here are marginally more expensive but membership is available for those interested in saving up to and over 10% of the retail price.

There are more stores abound in Singapore, and searching for one isn’t hard at all. However, if you are looking for variety and security in your purchases, I would recommend the aforementioned places.

Finding The Right Pay Per Click Company

Posted by admin
January 21st, 2009

Adrian Bold asked:

If you are interested in getting involved in a Pay per Click advertising, one thing that you should consider is employing the services of a professional Pay per Click (PPC) marketing company. Choosing the right one however can be a little difficult, so remember that there are few things that you should keep in mind.

The first thing to understand is that you don’t pay until someone actually clicks the link to your site; Once your campaign is up and running and your adverts appear, every time a person clicks on it, then you would incur a fee. Some companies require a start-up fee, while others do away with the need for such a thing, stating that you will only pay for the cost of clicks. Another area you need to be clear on is whether the company you choose to manage your campaign are going to charge a management fee i.e., a percentage of your click cost.

When choosing a company to manage your account, the first thing to do is to seek them out! A referral from a business associate would be ideal but if not perform a search using one of the major search engines or directories. While these companies will advertise themselves on such directories, this is a good place to start. You may also be able to find directories that will post reviews from satisfied or unsatisfied customers, so make sure that you take some time to go through the review section as well. When you are looking into choosing a Pay per Click marketing company, ask around. If you get a recommendation by word of mouth, it is probably just as good, if not better, than any advertisement or review you read online.

Whichever way you choose to find potential partners, you should ensure that you take a good look around their website to find case studies and testimonials. If there are none, ask yourself why not? Assuming there are, you may want to contact one or two of their clients to see how they really felt the company had performed.

It is important to find out how the company you choose are going to get your campaign up and running. You don’t need to be an expert, but they certainly do. Ask them to talk through the process. Gauge how deep they go and what steps they have in place to ensure you get the best possible return for your investment.

Getting this process wrong can cost your business dear in terms of lost revenue and lost opportunities. Ensure you do your research and pick carefully!
